Cauliflower Steaks


1 head of cauliflower, cut into steaks

(1 head should give you 4 steaks with smaller off cuts)

Rapeseed oil

Knob of butter

Ground cumin


Small bunch of thyme & rosemary



  1. Heat the oil and butter in a large frying pan with the fresh herbs over medium-high heat, add two cauliflower steaks and a fewer of the smaller pieces if you have room.

  2. Season the cauliflower with salt, pepper, cumin & paprika and cook until golden brown, this should take 5-7 minutes, then turn over.

  3. Once turned season the other side and cook for a further 5-7 mins.
