Last year Bradley had asked me to make him a StarWars cake, and the one I had planned was far simpler than this little guy. But unfortunately I fell ill just before his birthday and I wasn't able to make the panned cake, and he ended up getting a StarWars birthday cake from Tesco instead!

So this year for his 9th birthday I wanted to go all out, and he was absolutely chuffed with the result, as was I. My R2D2 cake is one of my favourite cakes to date, mainly because I got to use an actual light on it!
